NMS
The NMS MIB module defines a private enterprise namespace for aggregating proprietary management data points, typically serving as a container for vendor-specific counters, status flags, and configuration parameters required by Network Management Systems to monitor device health and operational state.

It provides the standardized data nodes required for NMS systems to track link health, detect degradation, and manage optical module inventory in high-speed transport networks.
The NMS-SYS-MIB defines vendor-specific private extensions for Network Management System agents to expose proprietary hardware telemetry and system state variables not covered by standard MIBs. These nodes typically facilitate the monitoring of device-specific metrics such as proprietary error counters, internal sensor readings, and custom operational parameters required for granular fault isolation.
