SNMP MIB module
The APPN-MIB provides standardized SNMP objects to monitor and manage Advanced Peer-to-Peer Networking (APPN) instances on network devices, specifically tracking high-level topology elements such as network nodes, logical links, and session states. It enables administrators to observe APPN-specific performance metrics including node availability, link utilization, and the status of dynamic routing tables within the SNA over TCP/IP or native SNA environments.
The APPC-MIB facilitates the monitoring and management of IBM Systems Network Architecture (SNA) Advanced Program-to-Program Communication (APPC) sessions and logical units on network devices. It exposes specific metrics including session states, connection establishment failures, and resource utilization counters to enable troubleshooting of legacy SNA over IP or TCP/IP transport layers.
